First Woman Sheriff

First woman elected sheriff of Bexar County TX, Major General Susan Pamerleau to speak to Bar-W on May 13, 2013 about “My first 100 days in office”. She will also address her experience running for elected office.
Susan Pamerleau served in the United States Air Force for over 32 years retiring as a Major General. After serving our country, she became Senior Vice President at USAA. In both careers, she oversaw multi-million dollar budgets and large staffs. Additionally, Susan is a nationally recognized victim’s rights advocate.
A few highlights from her 32 year career in the United States Air Force: Commander of the Air Force Personnel Center; Commandant of the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps; One of her more noted stations was serving on the international Military staff at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium from 1989-1992. She has had numerous Pentagon assignments. She also served overseas in the Republic of Korea, at Kunsan Air Base in Germany and Rhein-Main Air Base in Frankfurt.
Susan has served her nation well and she brings to her community critical expertise that she is applying to the needs of San Antonio and Bexar County.
